This is a painting I did that will be part of an exhibit for the Canvas Peace Project for Care International in Atlanta, Georgia Oct. 17th-Oct. 19th. I have been on the project committee for over a year now with our first exhibit last year at the Fairfield Arts Center in November 2011. It was a huge success and our main purpose is to raise funds to empower women in the village of Ariang, South Sudan. I am so proud of this project and excited that we are building awareness and that other cities are interested in hosting our exhibit. In this particular painting, I was really draw to the photo reference by this little girls eyes. My painting is called “Sad Eyes” as I could sense her sad eyes and trepidation. If you feel your community would be interested in an exhibit, please contact us at www.thecanvaspeaceproject.org Thanks for your support!
Welcome to my new website and blog. I wanted to share a recent painting I did as a birthday present for a dear friend. I love that I can capture a special memory of something that is meaningful and will bring years of enjoyment. I have done many paintings for friends and family over the years and I love that they receive a gift with my personal touch.
“I love what you have done with the portrait of my little soul mate Max! I can’t wait to get the note cards too! I also get so many compliments on the yoga painting you did for my yoga studio! You are such a gifted artist and wonderful friend! Ann Westport, CT
